Musculoskeletal injuries (MSKIs) are a significant concern for the U.S. military, not only affecting service members’ health but also imposing substantial financial burdens. A recent study highlights the economic impact of these injuries among U.S. Army trainees:1
- Prevalence: Approximately 34% of trainees sustained at least one MSKI during their training period.
- Direct Medical Costs: The total direct medical cost for treating MSKIs among all trainees was estimated at $14.89 million.
These figures underscore the critical need for effective prevention and management strategies to mitigate the financial and operational impacts of MSKIs on military readiness.
At Venture Out WellnessTM, we are committed to providing proactive solutions to prevent MSKIs and better manage musculoskeletal pain, thereby optimizing unit readiness and supporting the well-being of our military personnel.
